You're so right, you know. I haven't seen that film since I went slashy and evil, but it's all there. They *bicker*, for crying out loud. Now you've really made me want to watch 'Aladdin' again. :P
Try it. When I last saw it, I was about 13 or 14, but hadn't hit the slash yet. When you watch, it's just highly... slashy. In that bickering way. Iago can bitch loudly like it's an Olympic sport, and Jafar just *looks* at him and very smoothly tells him to be calm. Jafar bitches in that highly sarcastic, dry manner, and you can tell by the expression on Iago's face that he's both amused and agrees.
My favourite moment of the two is when they're considering that Jasmine may have them banished when she rules. Jafar: "Or she could have us..." *raises a hand around his throat* "Beheaded." *Both Iago and Jafar shudder and gulp* It's not slashy so much as cute and amusing. They're just so alike, so well-suited to each other.
And now, I need to stop talking a man and his pet parrot like that, don't I?
Okay, that's it. My new goal is to make an entire room of small children to cry. Thank you for giving me a purpose in life. >:)
