I've still got a hankering to write a Martha/Lana story, although season 3 Lana is making it harder for me to do so. I wrote a drabble that was pre-slash for the two, and I want to take it further. Explore the idea that a mother figure could become a crush in a young girl's mind, and that an older woman could be flattered, and tempted.
See, logically, I can see how these themes would work. Honestly, I do. It's just... when I sit down and think about *Martha*/Lana, I just... eurgh. I can't explain it. I just... find it distasteful (well, that isn't quite the right word, but it's as close as I can get right now).
It's not a bad idea, it just doesn't appeal to me. I find this lack of appeal rather odd, to tell the truth.
