OMG! Best dream ever!

[livejournal.com profile] shellah and I were staying with [livejournal.com profile] celli for a week and the three of us were at the supermarket because Shelley needed to buy something. Anyway, Celli and I are checking out the magazines (because one of them had PK on the cover) while Shelley lines up, and then I looked up and saw Peter Kruase in the next line.

Shelley was totally cool. She waited until he'd finished buying whatever he was buying, and then very politely asked for his autograph. PK was totally charming and even joked around and thanked her ("Thanks. Some fans seem to forget I have a real life. And that I can forget my pin code easily.").

I went into embarrassing fangirl mode, going on about how much I loved SFU. It was the perfect time for someone to kick me in the shins and hiss "Shut up!", but PK just seemed amused and took it in good humour. For some reason, Celli was pretty quiet.

Then he gracefully excused himself, and we all watched him walk away (wearing his leather jacket and jeans) and get on his motorcycle (this cute little, short, shiny, red thing). Oh, that man was even hotter in the flesh.

(Of course, karma strikes as it will, so the next dream was bad. Waking up at 9.20am, both Mum and I struggling to get out the door, and the home computer full of viruses and not working.)

*looks up exchange rate* That's about...$1700 or so. Huh, why would it be so much cheaper the other way?

*shrugs* Americans don't like to fly? Your fuel prices haven't jumped as much as our little island nation's?

*winces at the thought of even costlier gas* Entirely possible. Let's not rule out me misreading the exchange calculator, either.

Do I look like the type of person who understands the economic logic between fare differences?

Dude, you and me, we're just accountants. This is *airlines.* They tried to explain the whole flight booking system...thing to me in Operations class this semester. My head, it hurted!

Ooh! I'm jealous, I've never been on a cruise. :) Where is it going?

Pacific islands. Fiji (Vanuatu), Champagne Isle, um... a couple others. It's the one I went on last year with Mum. Mum was going to take me and mark, but there were complications with OAOASH, and Mark tried to get Dad in on it, and it just backfired on him - she just took me. This year is basically a guilt trip since he didn't get to go last year.

Ah. :) Sounds like fun!

But, yeah. If I want to come, I have to pay for my own ticket. I've got $1000 saved so far, and it's all due in September, so... *cringes* Yeah, not spending. Trying hard not to spend.

*sympathy* All my money should be going to paying down debts. Which is...kinda working. Still in-process.

By which time I will be living somewhere cheaper to fly to, hopefully.

Fingers crossed. *g*

:)

I looked up international internships, too. Why are they all unpaid? *eyes her student loan balance*

Because they suck?

*le sigh*
