There is a certain tension between posting a story and getting the first bit of feedback, where you spend minutes (and sometimes hours) wondering if you got it right, if it even vaguely resembled the characters, if it possibly only made sense inside your own head. Recieving this feedback was absolutely wonderful and such a reassuring relief.

i had to read this twice before i finally understood *exactly* what was going on, until i remembered the long-range sensors spontaneously coming online, and holy fuck, you're a GENIUS.

*bounces so much* See, I had total fears that it wouldn't work, that the technobabble only made sense to me, that other people wouldn't realise how suddenly fortuitous it was that they knew the Wriath were coming and could contact earth, or the way that the entire Seige storyline could have led to disaster without the interference (and saving grace) of the Dedaelus.

(honestly, the first time through your repetition of the opening line was so beautiful and so chilling (and i mean CHILLING, i got goosebumps and clapped my hands over my mouth and, um, i think i made this little mewling noise),

I know that sound! I've made that sound while reading other people's stories! I'm so thrilled I made you make that sound!

i have to go read this a third time now, because it was so damn bleak, but it makes so much SENSE, and oh, rodney and radek, they were still so brilliant and so brave and so utterly *themselves.* i'm going to look at their handshake scene in "the siege" a lot differently now, there's going to be so much more there. GENIUS. god, i'm almost shaking. awesome, awesome story.

*beams so much* Thank you. Thank you so much. This geekgasm icon is so appropriate for my mood right now.
