I love that it works within canon and yet is outside it. I love that Rodney and Radek are both so much themselves, both in their determination and their fear. And I love how it has to end, the ultimate time-travelers paradox, dying so that another you might live.
*beams so much* Those are the things that originally appealed to me when I thought of the idea. That it should show the quiet heroism of Rodney and Radek, the way that they can do the utterly brave self-sacrifice thing when needed.
I also loved the idea of this being something that would be absolutely unknown. Not done for kudos or respect, but because they were the only ones who could.
