We haven't gotten to the part where Rodney, on the Daedulus, makes some sort of mental connection he wouldn't have done as a jaded adult (not that he wasn't a jaded child, but pussibly less so) and figures out how he can reverse the process, and makes the ship turn around (because Atlantis can't function without him, and why should he wait months to go back home to John.
