I love how this explains the personality differences we saw in Fragments flashback Ianto to the quieter, more reserved Ianto of Season 1.
Although I re-watched TW1.02 last weekend (with the sex alien) and noticed that when the five of them are sitting around eating Chinese, Ianto is the one laughing loudest at Jack's tale, and Ianto is the one butting in with added details to make Jack's story funnier. I think of s1 Ianto as very serious and reserved, but now I'm wondering if Ianto was actually quite outgoing and cheerful between the fragments flashback and cyberwoman, and only changed after Lisa died.
