I love that you took what in many other TW fanfic hands would have been a short little PWP and turned it into an angsty, character-driven, sweet, and occassionally bittersweet story.

*does a happy dance* Thank you!

Ianto taking Jack's gun and asking him to leave was wonderful. Jack assuming at first he's planning to breakout with it is better. Jack realizing that Ianto is planning on killing himself instead is priceless.

I'm actually peally pleased that scene worked so well for you. For me, that was the turning point in the story, the point where it became necessary for Jack to find a way to fix the situation, before Ianto did. And I think it's quite in-character for Ianto, too, given his reaction in Adam (that he didn't cover his own trail/protect himself, but instead confessed to Jack for the sake of protecting other people against him. That takes courage).

I also love the scene with Owen and Jack and Owen's comment about how Jack is "smitten."

Jack being smitten is one of the best things in the galaxy, in my opinion.
