I really love Jack, I love his responsibility and concern for Ianto and I love the way that he manipulates Ianto into sticking around.

I love Jack's backstory as a conman. I know that attention shifted from that in canon, but I loved it. I have a secret little theory that it's one of the reasons Jack likes Gwen so much: he can recognise that ability to emotionally manipulate others to get what you want. (Not that either of them use it for bad purposes, but they both can.)
