I completely believed (and loved) smitten!Jack, which surprised me. It's a totally emotionally convincing AU.

I think smitten-Jack is very canonically plausible. He tends to fall head-over-heels in love. He won't risk the universe for it, but he seems to enjoy the process of attraction turning into love.
