Melbourne Fan Reading

For the Melbourne Fringe Festival, [livejournal.com profile] missyjack is trying to organise a fan-reading (fan authors reading out their works to other fans). The details are here.

It seems a bit too public for me -- a funny result of study + work stress is that I start getting really weird around crowds of more than five people -- but fandom tends to live through word-of-mouth; drawing attention to possible cool outings is never a bad thing.

It's way too public for me. People from my work go to Fringe and the last thing I'd want them to know about is my skerit slash history, GAH!

*nods* That's a good point. If you know people who might attend, going seems a bit risky.

For me, it's more actual numbers of people there -- I don't think I could hack it.

I think I'd be more interested in just popping by and watch the event rather than actual participation.

Fair enough. I just thought I'd mention it to people.

And I need to send you DVDs.... *facepalm*
