SN Gymnast Challenge
Since the Olympics are here, it seems like the perfect time to announce the Sports Night Gymnast Challenge. The guidelines are simple:
1. Submissions can be art or fic.
1a. Fic: Basically, anything goes. A drabble of a hundred words, a ficlet of a thousand, a smutfic of five thousand. Any rating. Het, gen or slash.
1b. Art: Likewise, for the art - make an icon or make a wallpaper, it's up to you.
2. According to Dana, Casey did gymnastics after-school for seven years. So, whatever you submit, it should have a reference to Casey's gymnastic past.
3. Entries are due on the 15th of September (but I'm ridiculously lax with deadlines, so if you need more time, just ask).
4. If you're interested in playing, just leave a note to let me know.
celli pointed out that providing some gymnastics links might also be a good idea. First of all, there's International Gymnastics, which has a lot of information about gymnastics competitions both in America and internationally, and some interesting photo galleries. USA Gymnastics has a helpful Gymnastics Glossary, more photo gallaries, and Inside Gymnastics also has a photo gallery.
For college-level gymnastics, the NCAA homepage isn't too useful, but College Gym Fans is fairly good. And National Gymnastics Judges Assoc has a summary of the scoring system used.

9.9 9.9 9.9 9.9
Afterwards, when they tumbled into bed, Dan felt like he would split in two. But that wasn't enough for Casey, so they got a little floor exercise, too.
(seriously, excellent challenge. Just checking, you want us to hold on to whatever we write until the 15th, right? (or later if we run late, which is entirely likely for me)

*giggles insanely* Okay, that wasn't what I was thinking of when I suggested gymnast-smut, but it makes me happy.

Hmmm... Oh, hell. Post it early if you get it done early. But I'll come around and gently remind people after the 15th.

A tentative yes will be fine, Laylee.

Nah, I'm just trying . . . there's such a distinctive rhythm to the dialogue which I'm finding difficult to reproduce.
And I'm knackered!
And I don't write.
And . . . !

I just read your old Smallville story, "The Gods Hate Kansas," and I loved it a lot. It was really funny and sweet, and I love the way you do the characters. That part with the waitress ignoring Lex was hilarious. (

I'm glad you liked it. Personally, I thought it would be very Lex-like to growl at them to leave him alone and then have the nerve to be annoyed because they didn't show up the second he wanted them. Thanks for taking the time to stop by and comment.
