Armageddon Expo

I'm thinking about going to the Armageddon Expo on Sunday, 14 October. Admittedly, I'm more inteested in going for the laser tag, pillow fight and to see cosplayers than the special guests (and, looking at the special guests, I'm a little stunned that I'm more excited about seeing Adam West than Joe Flannigan).

Still, for $16, that's not a bad day.

As I catch up on many years of fabulous fic, as much as anyone can do so, your name is one across which I keep stumbling. I think I'd enjoy reading your RL musings, because slashers have a tendency to be made of win; I am thus adding you to my friends list.

Ooh! Time off! Did you enjoy it? Do anything special?

(I'm all work work work at the moment. At least work involves lots of conversation about sex. Could be worse.)

I enjoyed it. Dad was down from interstate, and most of it was spent with good weather fixing up the garden. Which has left me in good need of a holiday, honestly.

*laughs* I have to ask: where do you work? Or, more correctly, what do you do (in a vague, not-personally-identifying way)?

I am a grad student! I'm working on my MA in history and came in intending to study something completely normal and wound up studying gender, sex, and sexuality. Being a slasher is both a plus (I'm not remotely unfamiliar with spontaneous genderswitch) and a minus (my classmates and professors don't really need to know why I know so much about buttsex between men).

I'm also teaching, but that doesn't really involve much sex talk. Probably a good thing, as I'd get fired posthaste.
