i feel like this is the fic i've been waiting for fandom to produce, and it is fucking amazing. everything here -- from john's steadfastness to mycroft's (misguided) bits of scheming -- felt genuine and honest to these characters. i really didn't expect it to stay so great through its entire epic epicness (HURRAY FOR SOME MOTHERFUCKING LONGFIC) so seriously, thank you for that.
