I'm awake for no good reason -- well, my stomach is queasy and I don't feel well is the main reason -- but I caught up on a couple of bookmarked tabs.
One of them was And Breathe Me by
proofpudding. It's a look at Kurt through s1 and s2, and well worth watching. While the music is a touch more painful than I'm usually comfortable with, stick with it for thirty seconds and you'll appreciate it. The emotion is used to great effect and this is the sort of heartbreaking vid I love.
Show me a favourite character struggling and trying and hurting, and juxtapose it with the love and support and friendships that are also part of Kurt's life. It's very, very easy to see the pain and angst that Kurt went through in s1 and s2, but I really appreciated also being reminded of the friendships, Finn and Sam and Mercedes and Rachel and Blaine. Of his dad. Of hugs of support and shoulder touches, and all the positive things that Kurt's experienced as well.
That as painful as the journey may have been at times, he's well loved. For a song that starts so painfully and full of broken vulnerability, the end of this vid is nothing short of triumphant.
(It gives me all the FEELINGS.)
