Heh. Woke up this morning to reply to your comment, and it's taken me a couple of hours to sober up enough to make WW sense. *g*
I can see you being a Sam person in this, because a lot of these arise more directly from canon than your Sam ones did. But they're still good.
Yeah, Sam's a bit more me. I can't deny it. (It probably leads to dodgy characterisation, but... *shruggs* I've never claimed to be an objective fangirl.) Josh actually gave me trouble coming up with the 25. I got to about 11, and then had to really stop and think.
#5, #13: hilarious, and true.
Yeah, it's his confidence in his charm that gets to me. It's adorable. *g*
I've never thought about it that way, but I buy #9 completely. That's got to be a factor, and it'll play into the mix of complexity if I ever write a Turningverse Josh/Donna story (which I will do only if they go there on the show). So, thanks.
I think it's a big part of it because Josh isn't exactly someone to avoid a relationship because it will affect his work. Generally, I think that Josh's work is such a huge part of who he is as a person, that his relationship have to be interelated with his career.
#10! Come on, tell *me* what really happened that night! ;-)
It's sort of beggin for a fic, isn't it? *g* I just... I'm not sure what happened, precisely, but it just *feels* like the way it would happen. Josh doesn't open up easily (and the award for understatement goes to... *g*) and he doesn't like being vulnerable, so it's not something that I think he could tell anyone without it being very painful for him.
#21, #22: This is the kind of thing that fits with canon but doesn't arise directly from canon, and it's just lovely.
What's really strange is the things that you think about when doing this. It's the little things that I'm very certain of, the big things (like the whole Sam/Josh thing) I'm not so sure of. I'm convinced that Josh is attracted to Sam, I'm just not always sure if they've ever slept together. Othertimes, I'm certain that they used to be a very strong thing. It's... odd. *shruggs*
#25: This one I don't buy, if only because I don't think Josh ever gets bored.
Really? In my mind, he wasn't just filling out a crossword when he first listened to Bartlet, he was doodling around the edges as he tried to think of the right words, and listen to Bartlet's responses at the same time.
I think that Josh gets bored. I think he has moments where... it's not that his mind goes blank, it's just that he wants something more stimulating to think about. So, he'll wander around the offices, and bother the others until there's something for him to do. I think he'd get bored during some meetings. He's a smart guy, and some of the stuff I'm sure he'd have heard before. So he'd sit there, doing that half-listening thing, writing down the occasional relevant word to remind himself of a point he needs to bring up, or an angle he needs to explore further, and draw lines and patterns around it...
