I should be in bed, but instead I'm reading Sorkin fic, specifically, S.N. Kastle's Sorking fic which is here. highly enjoyable, all of it. Lovely grasp of these guys, who feel like guys and talk around things like guys, and it's just highly enjoyable.
Plus, one of the fics Falling, Flying, Tumbling was written to Paul Simon's Graceland. You need to understand how much I love this song, how familiar it is to me. This is a tape that used to play in the car over and over, that I could sing the words to every track, that memories of singing it will always be merged with driving around Canberra, with road trips and family vacations taken as a child, with the mental image of being young, with a seatbelt over one shoulder, resting my head against the strap and watching the scenery outside my window as I sang along to the music.
It's also a CD that I own as an adult, that I like to listen to every so often, and that always rests on top of my computer, in easy reaching distance. It's filled with wonderful rhythms and poetic languange, and one of my favourite songs is Graceland with the lovely lyrics of And I may be obliged to defend every love, every ending, or maybe there's no obligations now.
*happy sigh* Yeah, I was thrilled by this fic. Nothing better than a fic with a virtual soundtrack that you know and love.
