Pretty pictures. Charisma Carpenter and Alexis Denisov are so pretty. I've just spent the last hour staring at pictures of them. When I get up in the morning with less than five hours sleep, then I'll regret it.

ETA: Every other BtVS X/S fan has probably already seen this, but I just saw the "I Need You" vid. That's just wonderful. Not my style of music, but wonderful editing. I haven't been that impressed by a slasher vid since the Utena "This Was Never Meant to Be".

ETA the second: I'm finally off to bed - at 1.30am. Argh... Tomorrow will be bad.

On the bad side, I've had just over four hours sleep and can barely think straight.

On the good side, the boss is away for three days, so he can't see me staring at my screen like a nincompoop.

How typical is it that I got good early nights on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, and stuffed it up just in time to go back to work? *yawn*

*yawn* I need to do some work. A workmate will be faxing the boss a list of what I've done and what queries I have at 4.30pm, so I need to actually accomplish something.

Work rambling - Highly dull )

Okay, I'm nicking off early tonight. (Well, not really early, since technically I finish at 5pm, but normally I'm here until 5.30pm regardless.)

Have to do some shopping on the way home. I have dinner (omelette if I want to cook, beef pesto already made if I don't) but I have no veggies, fruit or bread left in the house. However, I still have alcohol (thinking of that, I should remember to get OJ). Heh.

And I'm off and running!

Stopped by the shops and picked up some things (snacks, OJ, fruit, pasta, weetbix & bread), but even so: Ouch! Very heavy to carry for the ten-minute walk home. Just as well I couldn't be bothered getting any good basics like veggies and meat.

In other news, couldn't help sniggering at the mention of Justin Timberlake in the MX's gossip column. Apparently, he hung up on a radio interview show, after he was asked if he'd slept with his bandmates, and said that "Any fan of mine does not want to know a dumbass question like 'What are your homo activities?'." Heh. Yeah, well, off the top of my head, I can think of a few... ([livejournal.com profile] sinbrat, [livejournal.com profile] erilyn, [livejournal.com profile] alasen...)

Aw, Daphne and Niles (from Frasier). One of the few het couples that I really like. So sweet.

Hey, does anyone know what's going on with www.smallvillenews.com? I can't get it to load for me. Is this just my computer chucking a fit, or is it down?

I want my S1 Lionel! *grrrr*

When I first watched QaFUS I didn't enjoy it. I've come to enjoy it over time, especially with the later episodes. Rewatching the early episodes I can work out what really got to me.

The later seasons? There really isn't much quality to them, but I can accept that and just enjoy them as entertainment value alone. Trust me, lack of quality doesn't stop me from watching a show (I watch Charmed. For that matter, I watch Smallville. *g*), and I'll even enjoy the cheesiness of it.

The problem with the start of the QaFUS first series? It's just on that edge of a really good drama. You can tell, just watching it, that it really has the potential be astoundingly good. But it doesn't ever quite hit the heights that it could. And that was distracting when I started watching, because I kept hoping for a little more depth, a little more substance, and the series never really delivers it.

It's strange, but now that I know that it's only going to go downhill from here, and I've got hooked on the dodgy plotlines and superficial morals, I can enjoy the start. I still want to see QaFUK though.
