Jun. 2nd, 2003 09:48 amI was half an hour late for work this morning. I'm still tossing up whether it was worth coming in today or just taking a sickie. I'm sick of being in bed, but I'm barely thinking, so neither option was great.
It's been a while since I've spent all weekend offline. Basically, I was sick - that fluey, tired, hot/cold dizzy kinda sick (in all honesty, though, I think the dizziness was just a side effect from the analgesics... that's what comes from taking two when you're half-asleep, and should have just taken one *g*).
Hence, I'm woefully behind on LJ, and as I'm currently covering two jobs at work and I'm not altogether better, it's unlikely that I'll catch up any time soon. On the good side, I did manage to watch hours of Red Dwarf, WW and the first Matrix movie between bouts of sleeping.
One of my favourite episodes is "Celestial Navigation" because not only is Sam adorable and assertive, Josh shows just how much of a pain he can be, and just how charming he can be. It's like a one hour justification of why the guy has a fan club. *g*
Also, although I'm not someone who really reads Red Dwarf slash, I was amused by the slashiness in the S5 episode "Angels and Devils" which featured the Red Dwarf crew cloned twice, into their best selves and worst selves. The good Rimmer and Lister were so obviously in love, and the bad Rimmer was a sadistic cross-dresser. (Think Dr. Frank'n'Furter from Rocky Horror, and you'll realise why I cracked up.)
