Long WW AU...
Jul. 24th, 2003 08:08 amThis is what happens when you start reading a long AU series at 11.30pm. You're still up at 5am, thinking that there's only two fics to go...
And then you find out that the last fic is much longer than you realised. But it's a good AU, so you want to finish it.
Then, you get to the end of The Partyverse fics and look at the clock, and realise it's 8am, so you might as well stay up that extra half-hour to call in sick. And then, you might as well stay up until 9am, to make an appointment at the doctors.
All in all, I highly enjoyed it. Out of the Fab Four, only Josh was paired with a known character (Donna), but Sam brought the slash to the party. The series used a great cast of original characters with a very strong political story and managed to produce a believable happy ending. The first fic or two take a little suspension of disbelief, but by the third fic, you're totally hooked.
Although, I would suggest reading it when you have some time, as opposed to doing the all night thing. *g*
Meanwhile, my 'net connection keeps cutting out after a few minutes. It's very odd. *thinks* Possibly I forgot to pay the internet costs this month? Oops. That could be it...
