First of all, Happy Thanksgiving to everyone celebrating it.

Secondly, it's now Friday. The boss is due back next week, and the amount of stuff I haven't acheived is kinda intimidating. On the good side, LJ seems pretty quiet today, so that's one less distraction.

Third and finally, it's a hot day, meaning I'm dressed for summer. This would be a good thing if my two layered skirt wasn't currently being the personification of static cling. (Or should that be objectification?) Either way, it keeps wrapping itself around my legs and clinging every time I move. (Think of Brian high on E. It's even grabbier.)

Hmmm... work bought pizza for lunch. Everyone's still in the boardroom, eating and watching tennis. As I have no interest in anything sports-related (Sports Night being the only exception! *g*), I've taken my glass of pepsi and got online. I think the next half hour would be spent far better by reading popslash than watching people run around a tennis court.

I have nothing else to mention, so I'm just spamming you with my lunchtime reading. (Well, it's really in case I get bored and want to track down these authors again.)

Cosmopolitan. Lance-fic that made me giggle like a loon. This is the reason everyone should read Cosmo and Cleo's romantic advice, and proceed to roll their eyes at the entire idea.

Resort. Lance/JC. Because some fics are just hot. Regardless of plot, setting or knowing anything about canon, sometimes the smut makes it totally worth it.

Between Corners. JC/Kevin by Calico. Such a pretty image, and I'm a shallow fangirl. Which totally doesn't give credit to just well this fic is written.

JC stops bobbing in his seat. "I vote to not talk business til the food arrives," he suggests, and Kevin tilts his head like the world's most sleek, dark, villainous cockatoo.

*snerk* You know, I'm going to be thinking of Kevin everytime I see a cockatoo, now.

It's not that they want Backstreet to do anything bad, he thinks, although if he's honest with himself then he wants Kevin to get outraged and demand that Lou give JC whatever he wants, including basketball participation. He knows that's unlikely, of course. He also knows Chris wants something similar, although not, he suspects, following the letter of his personal fantasy. That would be weird.

Laughing so hard I'm nearly crying...

It is a fact that there is not enough Queer Eye fics in the world. However, Wendi took silly idea and turned it into an incredible, hilarious fic.

The Fab Five fix up Wally West. The only time that I wasn't sniggering at the perfect characterisation and wonderful, witty lines, was when I had to stop and marvel at the utter sweetness of it.

Just watched the EMA's. My only thoughts on it are:

- Beyonce is still damn gorgeous. I totally lust after that gal. (And I loved the bluesy/jazzy intro she did to Baby Boy.)
- Justin Timberlake still has one of the sexiest laughs ever.
- Most popstars seem to have shocking fashion tastes.
- Kylie was wearing yet another mini-corset. Hmmm...

Yes, it's a Friday night. My brain has turned to mush.
