out_there: B-Day Present '05 (Whoosh! (by Celli))
I'm awake at 4am, because I was playing with pictures. There's still another wallpaper I want to do featuring the shots of Dan and Casey on the phone with each other in "Small Town", but that will wait for another day. (ie. When I haven't been awake for a bit over 20 hours.)

Anyway, [livejournal.com profile] celli asked for wallpapers featuring "Casey and Dan writing". Now, since there aren't enough screencaps of the boys actually doing that, these three are... on the theme of writing.

I couldn't think of a Sorkin quote (other that Sam's bitchy: we're all writers, "if we expand the definition to those who can spell", which wasn't appropriate). Hence, on the second wallpaper, I went for a Shakespeare quote that feels highly appropriate (and Sorkinish) to me.

Another typical day of writing )

Ooh, it's 5am, and I'm hitting that second wind. Thinking I could just stay up.

Okay, question. When did orgies start appearing in every second music clip? Then again, I'm watching early morning Rage, so it's not going to be the top 40 stuff (yay) and two hours ago it was all Aussie Triple J stuff, which was tres cool. (Officially, "The Annoying Song" by "Man bites God" just totally make me giggle and sing along.)

Oh, dude! It's the "Sun Always Shines on TV"! A new version. Officially, this is one of the songs on my eighties CD (because, yes, Casey has his Time Life "Sounds of the Seventies" double CDs. I have my "Platinum Eighties" double CDs), that I'm less than thrilled about. It's not a particularly bad song, it's just one that I skip as often as possible. (Well, I like "Sunglasses at night", so I really can't insult anyone's musical taste.)

Umm... yeah. It was just a stunning realisation to recognise the song. Possibly it's only important at 5am.

Anyway... The year ago meme. Stolen from [livejournal.com profile] slodwick, [livejournal.com profile] happyminion, [livejournal.com profile] celli and [livejournal.com profile] scrunchy (I think):
If you've had LJ for over a year, look back to one year ago today and link back to and quote from your entries of that day.

If you have more than one year, go back for the same day for each past year and quote for them as well.

If you've had LJ for under a year, quote from the first month you had LJ and then halfway through the time you've had it.

February 27, 2003:
This was the Thursday I went up to Sydney for my introductory training for my job. Considering I made four entries that day, I really don't think I paid much attention to the classes. (As I recall, I was far more excited about meeting up with the Sydney slashers the next day.)

In my defense, I "Woke up at 4am, got a flight at 6, and booked into my hotel at 8." and the class went until 5pm, so I was "staying awake by reading TWoP Buffy recaps...".

I was also "amusing myself by entering Clark and Lex as joint investors, (well, first I did me, then I added Sir Pellew as my hubby, and it just got Clexy after that)." And, I'm still amused by the Statement of Advice produced at the end of that session, which stated "Annie-Lee, you are aged 21 and your partner, Edward, is aged 249."

*sniggers*

Hey, I also wrote a CLana preslash snippet. I knew I wrote one sometime. That's kinda a cool thing to discover. (Yay for this meme!)

I slept. Crashed at 8am, and woke up to the alarm at noon. *yawn* I'm tired but if I sleep anymore this morning, I won't sleep tonight.

Now, if my calculations are correct, [livejournal.com profile] shellah should be coming home shortly. I know you've had a heartbreaker of a day, Shelley. *hugs Shelley*

Well, Dan and Casey always make me feel better, so I though they might cheer you up too. Three Random Things about Casey McCall )

I stayed awake for Smallville. Guess which show got cancelled?

*sticks another pin into her Channel 9 Programmers Voodoo Dolls (TM)*

Instead, I have Hunt for Red October playing in the background. Tim Curry's in it! (*secret fangirl squee*)

Also, Sam Neill is inherently slashy. I'm currently entertaining myself by imagining Sam Neill/Sean Connery FPS. And, officially, I get that Sean's character is supposedly Lithuanian, or whatever, so he wouldn't have a pure Russian accent, but the accents on this film are making me snigger.

Anyway, to keep myself up, I chatted to people and made another SN wallpaper. Making wallpapers is great when you don't have the concentration level to write. Oh, btw, all of the wallpapers are here.

Couldn't decide which version I liked more )

If you're curious, the caps are from "Small Town" (capped by Celli), when Dan interrupts Casey's double date from hell. Those sweet and pleased expressions on their faces? It's because they're talking to each other. That makes me ridiculously pleased.

Oh, I watched the Glasshouse from last night. I'm still highly amused by Dave's reaction to them teasing Victoria Beckham about not being intelligent. "Intelligent, and living with Becks? How bored would you be?" I've got to stop sniggering over that.

And now, to bed.
