Glee rec: Karaoke Curiosities
Feb. 12th, 2012 11:22 pmI'm about to go to bed (only 20 minutes late) but thought I might point out Karaoke Curiosities by Regala_Electra. Glee future-fic, Kurt/Blaine in NYC, Rachel as roommate, and Santana coming for a visit. It's part of a series but for me, this was the standout story.
I love drunk-Blaine, who loves everyone and easily overshares. I love bestie Rachel, who refuses to let Blaine mope just because Kurt's in Ohio visiting family. I love this Kurt for many reasons, but mostly because sarcasm can really be sexy and Kurt owns that. I also love this Santana, who has found the internet is an awesome place to talk about sex and insult people (her two favourite passtimes).
And I really, really love the flashback to McKinley with santana and Blaine performing sexy choreography to Blur's "Boys and Girls". It's so queer sex friendly, and Santana can steam up any stage (and Blaine will throw himself into any performance) and I keep giggling imagining the glee kid's shocked reactions (and the horrified faces Kurt would have pulled). For that idea alone, this story is worth reading. It's fun and upbeat, bitchy and sexy, adn a future I love to imagine for everyone.
