Monthly Tally (August)
Aug. 31st, 2012 09:51 pmFannish works posted in August:
One on One (I Wanna Play That Game Tonight) - Glee, Kurt/Blaine, canon compliant, 4677 words.
2012 total so far:
98,930 words.
Thoughts:
It's funny, but this was a silly idea that stuck with me and while I had so much fun writing it, I don't like it as a story as much as "Types, re: Breaking Them". That story felt like it was the minimum words used to tell that story (in that there was more in that universe/possible, more to imagine) and it felt like there was a much bigger lives that could be imagined. Whereas "One on One" was a few fun scenes that might have been a c-plot on an episode -- fun to spend time with Blaine and see Kurt through his besotted gaze, but very self-contained.
I'm having troubles getting the cupid wip to work and I think I might have to abandon it and try something new. (I have notes on a H50 idea so that might be next.) Given how little I've written so far this month, it might be a struggle to get something posted in September.
