Without a Net Upon the Wire is probably my favourite Clint/Phil AU -- it's a story I've read over many times and it just has something that I love. I usually describe it as a homeless-teen-Clint story but I think what I love about it is the way that Phil and Clint are both coping separately, they're struggling to do it and it's hard but they're getting through each day. But when they start being together, they bring out the best in each other and it becomes less of a daily struggle and becomes more about having a life and this growing hope for the future. It's also funny and touching without being sappy, and it's a story with good hugs. I'm a sucker for a good hug.
But! The point of this post wasn't to recommend that story again. The point was that it now has a sequel (a sequel only posted on 1 November, so it's almost like I'm up-to-date with fandom) and I'm loving it. It's a sequel that uses the characters of Agents of SHEILD (in a really good way) and makes me happy.
