Oh, a bit of fannish music this evening. Getting home, I heard a song that I'd love to see vidded to Angel, and the most Brian Kinney song of all time, Heat Seeking Pleasure Machine by Paul Mac.
Seriously, it's got that strong bass to make you want to dance and feels sexy and a little dangerous at the same time. The lyrics are sung by Tex Perkins (and I quote from Paul Mac: For that track I needed someone sort of dark and male and sleazy - I mean that in a nice way! - and Tex was the one that sprang to mind.) and fits Brian perfectly. Then, I do a quick search online, and find that it plays in the second season of QaFUS, although it's not on the soundtrack. (It should be.)
When I'm feeling so low
And feeling so tired
It's the result of a need to feel so desired
Trawling back rooms and bars
Trying to fill my need
Looking for fun so hard
I think my eyes will bleed
You know I'm just a heat seeking pleasure machine
Pump me up and work it but don't stop 'til I scream
You know I'm just a heat seeking pleasure machine
Gotta get me higher if you know what I mean
I need some one
I need some thing
I need some
Down the lane up the stairs
First room on the left
That's all I need to know
About your name or address
I'll take whatever you got
Just give it to me with speed
You're the doctor I'm sick
And you know what I need
You know I'm just a heat seeking pleasure machine
Pump me up and work it but don't stop 'til I scream
You know I'm just a heat seeking pleasure machine
Gotta get me higher if you know what I mean
The Angel song is Mr Charisma by Frenzal Rhomb. It amuses me because the lyrics really make me think of Angel/Angelus, but the music style is anything but. It's a fast paced Indie/Alternative rock music, with strong drums and irrevelent guitar. Lots of fun to sing along to...
When he walks into the room men sit up and women swoon
Everybody murmers "He's here"
He's the most important guy
never stop to wonder why
He's always got so much to say
He's so cool, he
makes the rules
Many witty anecdotes one day he will surely choke
on a story far away
he's so cool he'll never die,
makes us laugh and makes us cry
If only he'd pro mised to stay home
He's the man
He's the man for us
He's Mr., Mr. Charisma
We see him every other day, he's another world away
We could hang with him all the time
He's too perfect to be true,
I can doubt but so would you
patiently I'm waiting to find out
What's behind....that
sickly smile
He's Mr., Mr. Charisma
Well I went to your brother but your brother lied
He said what you see on the outside is what you get inside
I said, I'd like to believe it but I have my doubts
and I think he might be evil but I wouldn't want to shout about it
He's so strange
He's quite deranged
He's Mr., Mr. Charisma
Okay, I should be in bed now, but that's too boring. I'm going back to the gothic romance AU.
