Hmmm... I'm thinking about this icon. I'm wondering if softening it would work... I might try, but I think I'll end up just recropping the picture so that the space between them is a bit bigger, and then paste in the text.
Hey, Signe, there's a teeny-tiny font (all in caps) that you use on your icons. What is it? It's actually on the Lex/S3 icon that you made (and I stole *g*). I'm wondering about it because it's pretty small and always easy to read.
Well, I was also thinking about it because now that I've got a Dan/Casey, I want another. I was thinking of using the Shakespeare quote: "It would be argument for a week, laughter for a month, and a good jest for ever." but all of my fonts are too big, too unweildy, to awkward for a quote that long. Or, if I did three pics (with a different phrase in each) I could theoretically get them to move together like one of Signe's latest Chloe icons.
You know, "Words are easy, like the wind; Faithful friends are hard to find." would really suit a Josh/Sam icon too. Maybe I'll just do a whole series of Sorkin... (apart from my Procrastination icon. That stays.)
But "Commit the oldest sins the newest kind of ways." would be a great naughty Lex icon, and "How many ages hence Shall this our lofty scene be acted over In states unborn and accents yet unknown!" would amuse me as a loft Clex icon.
And this could be used so effectively for so many pairings: Doubt the stars are fire;
Doubt that the sun doth move;
Doubt truth to be a liar;
But never doubt I love.
Okay, I just want an excuse to play with Shakespeare quotes. And to think about icons... What I should do is take myself to the Uni computer labs, and see if they've got a better graphics program (I'm using Paint Shop Pro at home, but maybe Photo Shop Pro works better...?).
The trouble is that although the Shakespeare quotes are pretty, I wanted icons that related pretty directly to my moods. Yeah, I'm thinking aloud and all of you get to come along for the ride. *g*
