Thank you! The first few times I heard 'Cry Me A River', I thought it *was* an old Michael Jackson song. When I was told it was Timberlake, it did not compute in my brain. "But, it's a remix of an old Michael Jackson song, right?" "No." "But... but there *has* to be a connection!" :P
Hee! Glad it's not just me. I didn't notice it on Cry me a River (mainly because the song bugged the hell out of me, so my first reaction was always to switch TV channels), but his next song? The dancing one...? Umm... okay, I know that's a bad description, but it was all him dancing in the centre of this brightly coloured room/box and trying to get a girl to dance with him...? (Still a bad description for a pop song, I think.) That one really made me think of the Micheal Jackson comparison. It's something about the softness of his voice and the range.
I think that would make for a much more interesting song. Ah, those lovely holiday memories of our house by the toxic waste dump...
