You do that. *bg* There are some words and phrases I just use too much. It's lazy writing and it's boring to read. Unfortunately, "smirk" is one of them.
Another one of these is "just" (He just, they just, it's just...) and "couldn't help". Really, someone's either thinking something, or they're not. It's not a case of they couldn't help thinking it. They could have, they just didn't want to stop themselves. *g*

Hye, you know Sam's opening comment: "Actually, I have a thing. I have a thing I was going to mention, just a proposal to throw out there." Direct quote, my friend. It's nice to know that sometimes, Sam can screw up grammar entirely on his own.
Fazing was underlined because I wasn't sure how to spell it (MSWord accepted both "fazing" and "phasing") and meant to come back and check it. Obviously, I never did. *g*
