Just watched Slumber and, oh boy, did I love it!
First off, that Clark/Lex scene? Was brilliant. That is the Lex Luthor of the future, and interestingly enough, he's also far closer to the Lex of the pilot. Creepy, powerful and truly intimidating. Man, MR just gave me shivers.
Secondly, the second Clark/Lex scene was so much fun. Such a nice contrast to Clark's dream sequence, and as comforting and familiar as the first one was frightening.
Thirdly, there are times when I just *love* Lionel Luthor. He rocks. Totally, utterly, completely rocks. Plus, I can't help seeing him in a far more sympathetic light. Lex has issues, he has big issues, and I doubt there's any other way Lionel could convince him to see a shrink. However, I have to admit that while hearing Lionel bite into that super-juicy fruit, I couldn't help thinking that Barbossa would be so jealous. All Lionel needs is the hat and he'd be a great pirate captain.
Lana's scenes... I can't decide whether I like her or not. I mean, sure, she's irritating as anything while she's hanging around Clark and trying to prove that they're meant to be together. On the other hand, she's had two years of Clark following her around and acting like she's his dream girl, and then suddenly he disappears and doesn't want her. Part of me feels sorry for Lana. She must feel like such a dupe, being taken in by a pretty boy's words of devotion and then dumped like a sack of potatoes. Having said that, I never want to see another scene with naked!Clark and naked!Lana, unless there's naked!Lex or naked!Chloe with them.
Loved the episode. *g*
