It's Ash Wednesday.

I hadn't even realised that until celli posted about Lent.

Mind you, I'm not really a practicing Catholic, but... I kinda want to do something this year. Not even necessarily go to church, just... practice my technical religion a little.

Hence, for Lent this year, I'm giving up chocolate.

Caffeine isn't enough of a habit for it to be hard to give up, and anything else would just be ridiculous. No point giving up the stuff that's necessary for you to be healthy. It was always stressed to us that you give up the stuff that you don't *need*, but really enjoy. (Hence, LJ, email, and slash aren't acceptable for Lent, because I really need them.)

Oh, no. Not the smut. That's a ridiculous thing to give up. In order of things I won't give up it's: breathing, sleeping, eating, LJ, email, smut, drinking, TV. Those are the things that are *vital* to my happiness.
