Rodney waited a few minutes, letting himself settle back into that familiar rhythm of long walks: right, left, right, sweat, trudge, hate the world. It was a simple pattern once you got it right.

This was the moment when I knew I was going to love this story. I was right. Rodney's chocolate expression; John knowing Rodney's chocolate expression, and being around to take advantage of it; Rodney sharing his TimTams; John offering to share his Mars bars. It was all marvelous.
