I used to be into Buffy fiction, especially Xander/Spike, so when someone on ASA asked for links, I thought Fine, I'll check out a few recs, forward a couple of links...

I've spent the last hour at work going through Buffy fics and going Man, love this idea.... There's no way I'll be able to read these at work, so I'm posting my links to read at home.

Got here via friendsfriends. The words Spike/Xander (or Xander/Spike, I'm not picky) caught my eye. Hope you don't mind my jumping in like this to suggest you add to your list:

the S/X nonstory (http://www.livejournal.com/users/eliade/67292.html) a work-in-progress being added to daily by Anna S, aka eliade. Amazing story. FutureFic, takes place several years after the end of the series.

Repossession (http://lazuli.kat.users.btopenworld.com/repossession.htm) by LazuliKat, a longlong, angsty, schmoopy S/X fest, also WIP, being added to regularly (every 3-5 days a new installment, it seems). Part 62 went up last night. FutureFic, takes place several years after the end of the series.

Reconstruction & Restoration (http://www.angelfire.com/darkside/wordsmith/wordsmith.html) by wordsmithslash, a post-season 5 AU, again just lovely. Some typos and a few random sentence glitches, but well worth the effort. Fun S/X stuff, just a blast.

Sweet Revenge (http://www.biteable.co.uk/jackson/fics/srindex.html) by Jackson Rayne. Gripping, painful retelling of Season Five, if Spike had fallen for Xander instead of Buffy -- and the feeling was mutual. Very angsty, probably self-indulgently so, but sinfully good like Chocolate Decadence.

And speaking of chocolate ... Chocolate Hurricane (http://www.thegates.net/cicific/index2.html) by cicirossi. After all the angst above, you'll need something a little lighter. And ... really smutty in a good way. Cici's other stuff is pretty damn good as well.

And you can't go wrong with anything by Mad Poetess. Of course there's lots more, but you really have more than enough to keep you busy already.

Feel free to add! It's just a case of I stopped reading BtVS and AtS fics over the break, to avoid any major spoilers, and I got involved in SV fandom, and I never came back to reading...

X/S (or however you want to state it... I'm too slack to worry about what the positioning of the names actually means) was one of my first slash pairings for Buffy, and is still one of my favourites.

Although, looking back at my list, there was also a Dawn fic that I must have missed rec'ing to myself. Bugger...
