Firstly, hee for you icon! That made me giggle out loud.
It sounds so much like Ianto, and he manages to be both eager and tentative, and Jack is just so good with him, and it goes so nicely
I like that description: eager and tentative. It is Ianto -- or at least, Ianto at this point in S1 -- trying to balance the idea of sex without the level of emotional commitment he had with Lisa, and the idea of mixing sex with work (i.e. with the boss, at the Hub, having to act normally tomorrow), and I really wanted Jack to meet him halfway, so to speak. To be solid enough for Ianto to rely on, to trust Jack to guide him, and to be the fun-loving Jack that could allow Ianto to relax and enjoy himself for once.
Which is a long-winded way of saying: that's what I was going for, so I'm thrilled it worked for you.
I love that Jack has been thinking about Ianto fucking him - for some reason I usually think first time would be the other way around, but the fact that Jack just seriously, seriously loves being fucked - yes!
See, I've read a lot of first-time stories where it's the other way around, and for some reason, I just don't think Jack would think in those terms: in the idea of whoever's doing the fucking is the one in control, or with more experience, or with power, or whatever. I don't buy that he'd really think of sex in terms of dominance or power struggles (i.e. the very clear mental distinction that Ianto -- and the reader -- automatically carries with the idea of "fucking" or "being fucked" isn't something that would honestly occur to Jack as being important. Important for logistics, sure, and important based on what each person enjoys most or is in the mood for, but not something that says anything about the relationship or the status of each person.)
Yeah, I can actually wax poetic about rationalisations for sexual positions. There are a few things I overthink. *laughs* Mostly, I just love the idea of playing with the idea of Jack's bad manners in bed -- I assume it'd mean being demanding, outright asking for exactly what he wants, which could come across as rude but isn't something Jack would even stop to consider as badly behaved -- and I love the idea of Jack being a little pushy, a little larger-than-life, a little demanding and just going for everything he's really been wanting to do with Ianto.
