He didn't! And for Mycroft not to see it coming... you just know that's something that only once or twice every decade. *laughs*

Though... that bit about their mum's funeral, I'm taking that you've did a bit of 'this is not the droid you're looking for' hand-waving? Since I got the impression that their mum is still alive in ep 1...

I will argue this one, becuase what they actually say is:
"You know how it always upset Mummy."
"I upset her? I wasn't the one who upset her, Mycroft."

...in other words, it could be past tense becuase Sherlock upset Mummy in the past when they were kids, or it could be past tense because Mummy's no longer alive. The fact that neither of them appears concerned isn't really a tell becuase Mycroft's genuine "concern" for Sherlock comes across very cold and vaguely threatening, so emotional cues aren't always there.

And I think we went through this before when you first started it about how I was wondering "what if Sherlock's really experienced and good in bed?" and you basically read my mind and wrote this!! Which is waaaay better than what I initially thought possible and wheee!!
