Last night, someone referred to us as the "queeries", which is a term I find rather cute and fun. However, the fact that today, I keep spelling queries as queeries, is starting to annoy me.

I want to write for the [livejournal.com profile] contrelamontre Sliding Doors challenge, but I don't know what. Plus, boozefest deadline is looming, and I still haven't found time to go through it and slash and burn.

Read this in [livejournal.com profile] rivkat's journal:
Also, Farscape. It’s neat to find a good show that doesn’t demonize or erase the father. John Crichton’s relationship with his father isn’t exactly smooth, but it is loving and he didn’t start out his journey broken.

It just got me thinking about the place of parents, in particular, fathers, in my favourite shows. For Buffy and Angel, everyone knows that "Dads are bad". SV? You could argue that there's the Devil Incarnate Lionel and Platitude Sprouting Jon. Both fathers have an extremely strong influence on their son, and the sins of the father are set to doom their children. (Allow me a little hyperbole, I'm just having fun. Personally, I don't think Lionel's as bad as he's made out to be and I actually like Jon as a dad.)

I'm wondering what other series have this message?
