I'm bored. Hmmm. I even read LoTRPS. That tells you:
a) how bored I am
b) how lazy I am - I couldn't even be bothered opening SV fics, or doing anything productive...

Some songs stay in your head. Istanbul, not Constantinople by They Might Be Giants is one of those songs. Heard it one Tuesday morning and I'm still singing it in the shower. Franco Unamerican is another one, but I like it for these lines:
I want to move north and be a Canadian.
Or hang down low with those nice Australians.

I'm all about the self-insertion. *g*

The boss will be back within the next half-hour, so I'd better get back to work.

Istanbul, not Constantinopal, now it's Istanbul, not Constantinople, been a long time gone, Constantinople, why did Constantinople get the works? That's nobody's business but the Turks.

Even old New York was once New Amsterdam. Why they changed it I can't say. People just liked it better that way.

Istanbul is my emergency song. If ever I get a song stuck stuck in my head that I really hate, I break out the "Flood" CD. Gets rid of anything else...
