[livejournal.com profile] tboy, here's a GO fic, All Flesh is Grass. Be warned, angsty ending. I'm serious here.

Apparently, spelling is my big grammar peeve. Actually, that's pretty true. Internet slang can really bug me.

And, here are the questions from [livejournal.com profile] jmtorres.

By your bio, you're still at uni. What do you want to be when you "grow up"?

My bio is out of date, and lies. *g* Well, technically I'm still at uni part-time (I just don't have any classes/lectures/tutorials this year), and I'm working full time. I'm doing an accountancy degree, although I doubt I'll become a tax accountant or auditor (which really are the two main choices). At the moment, I'm working in financial planning, and I find the ideas behind that interesting, so that may be the long term career plan.

Do you like any anime besides Utena? What other series?

Utena is seriously one of three faves, the others being Marmalade Boy and Fushigi Yuugi. Both are shoujo anime. FY is one of those great travelling into an alternative world, becoming a mystical priestess and gathering warriors to defend the country series, but it also has one of my favourite villains of all time, Nakago.

Marmalade Boy is a high school romance series which someone once described to me as "the high school equivalent of Melrose Place, except for the fact that you actually care about the characters". *g* Great series, but pretty impossible to slash (although I still want Miwa/Bill slash, regardless of how canonically doubtful it is).

Hmmm... others I've seen all/part of and enjoyed are Trigun, Clamp Campus Detectives (so cute!), CardCaptor Sakura (basically I like whatever CLAMP stuff I've seen), Kodoko something (translates to Child's Play but I can't remember the Jap title), Yami no Matsuei, Evangelion... The list goes on. *g*

Who is your favorite buffyverse character? Why?

All time favourite? Early Cordy, although Tara's close. (Current season favourite is Dawn)

Basically, I liked the fact that Cordy was unapologetically selfish. She was assertive, confident, had a clear idea of who she was and a well-defined set of priorities. As much as she played the popularity game, she made her own decisions, and did it for her own reasons. Basically, she was the other side of Buffy. The same inner strength and fortitude, except she used it for purely selfish goals, as opposed to Buffy who used it to do "the right thing".

Plus, she was gorgeous, sexy and fairly smart with a killer smile. *g*

Is your lj nick, [livejournal.com profile] out_there, an X-files reference? Do you find yourself to be particularly truthful?

Actually, it has nothing to do with the X-Files. I've seen all of three episodes of that show, and when we watched vids, needed other slashers to point out who was Krycek. *g* It was just something that appealed to 15y.o. me when I first signed up for hotmail, and since I'm lazy, I've used it ever since.

Truthful? I need to think about this. I wouldn't say that I lie a lot, but I do tend to omit. Hence, the impression that I give people is not necessarily the whole picture of who I am. At work, I may mention my male TV/actor crushes, but not my female ones. I've said that I'm taking a week off for a student conference on gender and sexuality, not I'm going to Queer Collaborations to party with another 200 young gay things. I try to avoid the family trait of BSing someone just to see if they're gullible enough to believe it, but I do occasionally do it.

I come across as fairly conservative, but deep down, I generally am that conservative. I vote Labour, I believe in marriage before children and saving up to buy your own house. I've been brought up middle class, and I do actually hold those values. I'd never consider being a prostitute or a stripper because to my mind there is a social stigma attached. Mind you, it's not that I think badly of other people for their choices, it's just that I do attach values to these things when I think about personally choosing them for my own lifestyle.

Plus, I'm not quite foolish/trusting enough to believe that people won't twist things that I consider personally important for their own gain. People don't mean to be nasty, but gossip is very easy and entertaining, and can end up effecting the person involved negatively.

I think that generally I am truthful. It's just that I relax more about different things with different people, which is true of everyone to some extent. Juliette, that really made me think. I'm sure you can smell the smoke coming out my ears...

Do you still write fic?

Yeah, I'm lazy (and non-productive *g*) but I do write. I went through a stage of a couple of years of not writing, and just recently (this year) got back into it with SV. So far I've only finished a few short SV fics and one Schindler's List fic, but I'm working on two WW fics right now.

Wow. It seems that the only thing I like more than rambling about myself, is thinking and rambling about myself. *g*

Dude, I warned you. I really did.

I read it without the warning, and got to the end and was all "HUH?! WTF? You can't end it like that..."
