Summary:

Eight years ago, the nineteen-year-old Mycroft Holmes was persuaded to give up his engagement to Lieutenant Gregory Lestrade of the British Navy. Now the naval officer has returned to England, paid off and in search of a husband or wife. Events conspire to bring Mycroft and Gregory into the same social circle once again, though Mycroft is – must surely be – the last man on Earth that Captain Lestrade would think of now.

This *was* lovely, I wish it had have been a *leeetle* bit longer though.

I would have loved the last chapter to be a little longer, to have a little more payoff for the pining and angst, but I think I'm just being greedy.
