Fanon...

I'm currently reading through RhiannonHero's post on SV canon and fanon regarding the idea of Lex being inscrutable. Very interesting, but I can't quite work through my opnions enough to make them coherent, or even mildly understandable.

Another SV fanon that I don't like is the frequent references to Lex being graceful. Jittery? Sure. Tense? Without a doubt. But the guy does not glide across a crowded room. It's one of those things that always pulls me out of a fic when I read it.

So, while I'm thinking of canon vs fanon, what are your pet hates? What are the commonly accepted things in fic that just bug the heck out of you because you just don't see?

Ever since someone else pointed it out, I've gotten extremely peeved at the constant Clark Kent Blush. It's seems as though it's become a sort of SV requisite.

Good point. From the top of my head, I never notice the "Clark Kent Blush" (which is just making me think of make up commercials) on the actual show, but it's everywhere in fiction.

You almost expect the poor boy to be walking around beet red all day!
