Days 11-13 were spent still trying to wrangle an ending for this thing that's due in a couple weeks, put more meat on the things that are due behind that, and still keep up with my other projects and try to keep their queue going. It'll take a little bit to feel caught up, but I think we're going to get there.

At least I got it posted. Even if I hit that point where I'd moved around dialogue and description so much in a scene that I wasn't sure the end result was any better. (I might read it over in a few days and find I am happier with the end result. Mostly right now? I'm just relieved it is done.)

14th: haven't start on my WIP yet, but I did some modding that involved wordsmithing so I'll check in now. ETA: 1253 words on my WIP.

Btw, your code is broken for the 13th. (Did you know Dreamwidth will turn @ plus username into <user name=username>? It's much faster, if you're coding by hand. You can also add .lj or .ao3 or .twitter to the end for different platform names, like china_shop, china_shop, etc.)

Thanks for that hint. I didn't know that, but that makes a huge difference when coding by hand. Previously, I'd been typing names into text, and then copying into word to replace every ", " with ">, <user name=" which catches most of it but always risks the first and last names being incomplete.

Aug 13: 200-ish words, and rewrote the outline for the rest of the chapter. I am so close to finishing this thing I can taste it. (While being prolly at least 10K away from finishing this thing.)

I don't know whether to groan or cheer -- 10k is a lot of words to get through, but it is wonderful to feel like you're finally getting to the end of a story.
