Oh, man. In the nicest possible way, never again. I am not one of fandom's organisers/mods, and this is why. I am capable of it, but man does it totally drain all fun from fandom. (And make me not want to check emails/DW or even bother trying to write.) But sometimes it's good to learn these things about yourself -- it makes you really appreciate the people who donate their time and energy organising these things.

Now, this may sound like a strange offer, but china_shop got me onto the idea of using Excel to record the user names for the daily tally (and then concatenating the "@" and commas to turn it into a list. (And weirdly I was just talking a few days ago about the first 5 things fic in Smallville and trying to remember if Shrift wrote it, or if it was another fannish writer. And how cool it is that it spawned it's own whole genre of fic.)
