Clint should probably ask again if there's someone waiting in New York, but he doesn't really want to know. Phil kills the headlights, and suddenly the old chestnut trees around them seem familiar. Familiar like the old vinyl seats of Phil's truck, the weight of Phil pressed against him, the soft curve of Phil's lips. "Did you park in our old spot?"

This was written for a challenge and I really enjoyed writing it, even if I ended up listening to that song on repeat for weeks. (Also, note to self: you haven't posted your annual writing round up. Last year, you did it in March -- let's try for Jan this year!)
