I'm back online.

Talked to mum, who was not half as upset as her email sounded. Right now, I'm just going to say: "Grrrrrrr. Men!"
Mmmm... girl-kissing on The Bill, and I still adore Craig. He's so my current woobie. (Since Cass is gone now! *sniff*) And Craig putting a drunk Luke to bed? (Could their storyline become any more like a slash fic?)
Wrote 2000 words on the impossible WW fic, which is currently being deemed the Really, Really Hard, but Just, Maybe, Possible WW fic. To write a good AU, you almost need to know more canon than to write a fic that just follows it...
ETA: As soon as I posted this, we got to see Craig and Luke get it on. *g* This is the reason I watch The Bill these days.

Date: 2003-07-19 04:45 am (UTC)Oh yes, I was like "oh God, please, slash cliché number 4" not that it wasn't appreciated, no, not at all. ;)

Date: 2003-07-19 04:52 am (UTC)I was watching Craig bundle Luke into the car and thought "yeah, this'll spawn so much fic - it's straight out of the cliche book" and then the show did them for me.
It's so very enjoyable, but I guess it's not a cliche to the writers, just to all the slashers watching.

Bugger.

Date: 2003-07-19 08:51 pm (UTC)Basically, Gina bugged Craig into going to Luke's bucks night (to show support for the wedding *g*). We got a few nice scenes of the Sunhill boys getting drunk, and even a bit of teasing. I was just settling in to enjoy another episode of Craig trying so hard not to moon over Luke.
The boys leave the pub, and Craig promises to get Luke home (Luke, who can barely stand up, and is doing that "I'm drunk and happy to fall asleep anywhere" thing).
Next scene with the two of them is at Luke's hotel room (cute way of the bride and groom not seeing each other before the wedding) and a bit of subtext laden comments between them. Then Luke jokes about this being his bucks night, and then leans forwards and kisses Craig.
There was this lovely shot of Craig being so very good and holding himself back, just letting Luke do it, before he gives in and goes for the full on pash.
Of course, Gina would come around the next morning (to wake Luke and tell him about the troubles with the wedding reception arrangements), and open the door to find Luke and Craig fast asleep in the double bed, both looking rather content. *g*
Of course, I'm rather amused at the slashiness factor of that episode. I mean, the slashy vibes had died down, and then I get to see Luke & Craig make out with intent, as well as seeing Robbie and the lesbian girl kiss on a drunken dare. *leers*

Date: 2003-07-19 10:20 pm (UTC)Yay! Shame about the fade to black, but I wasn't expecting that much (I was kinda expecting Craig to do the honourable thing and turn a very drunk Luke down, but I was pleasantly surprised *g*)
Hey, just realised that if I type a fic in MSWord, and then choose the "Plain Text" style, I can post in LJ without all those screwy "?" appearing everywhere.

Date: 2003-07-19 10:27 pm (UTC)Thanks, I'll try that.
I'm very, very glad Craig didn't do the honourable thing *g*. Why the hell should he? Last chances and all that... *veg*
Will now be wanting to know if the wedding is off. I still can't get ABC on this little tele, and forget to walk *out* of this room and go watch in the loungeroom at the right time, so... will probably miss the next ep.

Date: 2003-07-19 10:38 pm (UTC)Yeah, me too. And, as always happens, you post to LJ, spot the three character's you didn't change over, and have to edit the entire post. (Or, if you're like me, you do that step about four times for every new fic-bit that you post. *sheepish grin*)
I'm very, very glad Craig didn't do the honourable thing *g*. Why the hell should he? Last chances and all that... *veg*
Hee! I don't know, he's just such a sweetheart, and he was holding himself back, and then...
Well, he's shown a good deal of self-control around Luke, so I guess he deserves some kind of reward. But when it comes to Craig, he's my woobie on the Bill, so I don't care how his actions affect other people as long as he's happy.
Luke himself can bug me, and he's only slightly better than Craig's last boyfriend, so I don't really support them as a couple, except for the fact that it makes Craig happy. *g*

Well, if I'm online on Tuesday night, I'll remind you at 8.30pm. *g*
We had a little teaser of them telling Kerry that Luke hadn't arrived yet... I doubt it'll go ahead. Or, it shouldn't, because I want Craig happy.
That's my basic motto for The Bill: "I want Craig happy."
Whatifs
Date: 2003-07-19 11:00 pm (UTC)Craig gets all woobie-angsted (yes, it's a word, trust me), suffers beautifully, and then Luke's marriage comes falling down around him when he realises that it *IS* Craig he really wants... *g*
Or! Or... the wedding goes ahead, Luke doesn't have an epiphany, the Craig/Luke gets outed, and Luke, in a fit of self-denial and cowardness, decides to press charges for assault against Craig. Major, major angst, and no happy-Craig for Annie. *g*.
Until Luke has his epiphany when his wife leaves him, of course *eg*. Then Craig decides he doesn't want second-fiddle, and spurns him. Heh.
Re: Whatifs
Date: 2003-07-19 11:11 pm (UTC)I'll take your word that "woobie-angsted" is a word... *bg*

You know, my first reaction to reading this was "NO!!!" Luke would be enough of a little git to pull that kind of crap.
Until Luke has his epiphany when his wife leaves him, of course *eg*. Then Craig decides he doesn't want second-fiddle, and spurns him. Heh.
I'll second that "heh". It is something he richly deserves.
Hmmm... How about they postpone the wedding and blame it on troubles organising the reception, while Luke's trying to work out what the hell he should do.
Craig will ty to convince him, admit his feelings for Luke, and Gina will follow her conscience and tell Kerry that he groom-to-be was getting shagged the night before his wedding.
Being the insecure git that Luke is, he'll probably call off the wedding, avoid committing to either Kerry or Craig, and organise for a transfer to another station.
Then, in a few weeks time, Kerry and Craig will both meet nice, gorgeous guys, and wonder why they ever bothered with Luke. *bg*

Re: Whatifs
Date: 2003-07-20 03:24 am (UTC)I don't know whether to be upset on Craig's behalf, or glad of the final outcome.
