The static in my reception was starting to drive me batty, but I'm glad I stuck around for the end.

Yay for Justin laying down the law. Brian needs some limits. And I officially think that Mikey's professor is very cute. (Of course there'd have to be something wrong with him... On the good side, at least it isn't an evil twin, but I keep expecting that to happen.)

She does kick his butt, but I think she knows he's not quite as strong as Brian (has had to be), so she pulls her punches accordingly.

Brian wouldn't respond to anything but her unvarnished truths, I'd reckon.

Yeah, probably true. I think Brian has an excellent BS detector, and knows when people are lying to him (which could be why he treats everyone with so little respect).

You need a pretty strong punch to get through that boy's hide.

Aaaand... (just a little theory of mine) I think that's why Justin's gotten through, because he's genuine. YMMV.

Nah, it's because he's genuine, stubborn and almost as thick-skinned as Brian.

If it was just genuine, Brian would be with Mikey. I think it's the fact that Justin does have the attitude of 'stand up and be counted' (rather than Mikey's self-doubt and insecurities) that makes him a bit of a challenge to Brian.
