Okay, there are some fics I read just because I go 'x fandom? How would that work.'. It can lead to lousy stories, or ones that make you want to go see/read the original stuff again.

Steering Titus is a Gormanghast fic, based on the book. I don't know how different the miniseries was, but the BBC production was kinda creepy and disconcerting in a really good way.

For SV, I love the Lex in Balance. Clever Lex, scheming Lionel, understanding Martha and sweet Clark. Even Jonothan makes a small appearance. It just really hit the right spot for me, so check it out.

Oh, and while you're there, check out Lenore's other fic That Old Schizophrenic Jealousy which I loved. Clex with a good sense of humour. (It was the Beanie Babies enthusiasts that really cracked me up!)

I'm not a big romance novel reader, but sometimes the pure fun of sitting back and not having to think, having it all spelled out cliches and all, is very enjoyable. Hence, I'm currently wasting some time reading The Wages of Vice. A little gay bodice-ripper, filled with ridiculous courtly manners and flowery descriptions. Much fun...

Picked up Paul Simon's Graceland on special ($15). Since this is one of the three tapes that lived for years in the family car (the others are Willy Nelson and Hall & Oates, no idea which albums), just listening to it reminds me of family holidays, especially driving past Lake George, for some reason.

Did anyone else know that in the chorus to "You Can Call Me Al", he says "I can call you Betty"? I always thought it was Eddie!
