Rassafrassin' Taxi Drivers

I hate taxi drivers who take the busiest, longest and most expensive route possible! I was running late this morning, grabbed a taxi to Martins Place (between Pitt St and George St). Did the taxi driver take Pitt St, on which I was standing, a one-way street that seemed fairly free of traffic? No. He took George St, charged me $13 for a 10-15 minute walk, and it took as long as if I had walked!

Argh! Long story short, I was still really late, and I'd paid for a taxi. (At least it was work's money that I used to pay for it, and I did get a receipt, but still...)

These training days are a simultaneously rather interesting and really boring. I mean, learning about this stuff is interesting, and it does give me a thrill to know what the heck the forms I've been filling out actually mean. But, there's only so much information you can take in before it's all just forms and investments...

Counting down the last two hours now. (Glad I can get on the 'net, but I can't do anything too involved or I lose track of what I am supposed to learn... and the boss will ask when I return.)
