I had such a good time last night!

It's 3.41pm, and I just got back home about ten minutes ago, and I left the house at 7.40am yesterday morning. *g* I had such fun last night. Went Go-Kart racing, did Sumo wrestling, played Dead Zone (you know, you run around in the dark, wear packs with flashing lights and try to shoot each other?) and ate a lot of meat! (Although, not in that order.) Also had a Slippery Nipple, and that's quite a nice shot (Bailey's and... something... can't remember, too tired to care).

There were seven of us in total. We got there at 7.30pm, and didn't leave until 1am, so there's a reason I'm stuffed. I ended up crashing at a friend's place at 2.30am, slobbed around their place for a bit, got the train home, bought some juice and went to the library! *bg*

It's the book meme. It's got me thinking about books. Now, I don't own any books, I'm a library gal. (Well, technically, I have two, that were bought for a combined price of $2 at a library sale the day before I took the train/bus from Canberra to Melbourne, with the rationale it would give me something to read. Mind you, I haven't read either of them.) Now I have a new Terry Pratchett (Night Watch), a Nick Hornsby, and an Olivia Goldsmith (who wrote First Wives Club - and that book totally rules over the film). And, pride of place goes to The Titus Books (the Gormenghast series). Got the whole trilogy. (That's another thing I have to thank the meme for. I never even knew the mini-series had come from a book! *g*)

Of course, I could just go to bed and nap, but now I have books to read, Angel and WW to watch, and there's the 'net. Sleep may be overrated. *g*

Grrr, argh. Don't want to read Tham's SV survey. It's chocka full of spoilery goodness.

Meanwhile, I'm catching up on LJ. How the heck did I manage to get over 50 posts behind in under 24 hours? I mean, considering that my friends list is only 29 people, and quite a few of those have spent time travelling to visit lydia_petze this weekend... I'm not bitching, I'm just suddenly realising how much time I spend on LJ normally. *g*

Okay, really, I was expecting that. Basically, it comes down to those Kinsey types, and Ravenclaw is introverted and lead by their head. Thinking of introversion, when I mentioned last night that I was a Leo, a friends said I couldn't be, since I was "Stand-in-a-corner Girl". Heh.

I do better on the movie list than the book list, I think. And I do far better on both of those than I do in the Locas Magazine top 100 Book Meme, yanked from sineala. Wow. I like Fantasy and SciFi, but I really don't read a lot of it. I guess I just watch a lot of it. *g*

Now, I'm off to read all the interesting fics on my LJ Friends list. This could have something to do with why I have read a lot of great books. If it was a top 100 Meme of SV fics, I'd probably have read about 90%! *g*

ETA: Oh, and would you believe I forgot to mention that the SV boozefest fic, the cause of my suffering and procrastination, is finally finished and posted! Yay, me! (And yay, tboy for being patient enough to support me, even though I started it for the first round and was still late for the second! *sheepish grin*). It's here, Drunken Kisses.
