Happy Birthday Te!

Well, I got here (10 minutes late) but it's great to see that life hasn't stopped without me. Sometimes, it's refreshing to remember that everyone is replaceable. *g*

However, it is a little odd not to know precisely what's going on. Plus, I'm tired, with a scratchy throat, but I'm still feeling far more enthusiastic about work than I did two weeks ago. Everyone needs to take a good week off halfway through the year.

I'm becoming really lazy. I think it's just tiredness from holidays and being sick but still...

I'm at the stage where I get home (7.15pm tonight, because I had to stay back til 6pm. Not because I'm a good worker, but because I didn't finish a letter due to spending an hour reading Sam/Josh fics *bg*) and I strip out of my work clothes. I'm too lazy to find/wash my PJs, so I decide I'll just hang around and sleep in the nude tonight. I couldn't be bothered shopping on my way home from the station, or cooking pasta once I got home, so I decided Weetbix with sugar was an acceptable dinner substitute.

The silly thing is that I treated myself to an early BDay pressie (Fire & Ice perfume) since it was on sale, and I couldn't even be bothered to take it out of the packet. (Not to mention the entire house is a mess and there's no way I'm even slightly tempted to clean it.)

Now, I'm online, but I'm too tired to have any real enthusiasm for anything. Think I'll read fics... or something. Probably be a smarter idea to go to sleep now, but... *shruggs* I couldn't be bothered!

Argh. I was going to get at early night. This is all Jae Gecko's fault, specifically her Turning series. I've read some of them before, but I'm not sure which ones, so I decided to read them again from the begining. Well, I couldn't go to bed on a sad ending, so I kept reading.

I'm now up to The Real Thing but it's too long for me to finish reading tonight, so I'll have to come back to it tomorrow.

...Okay, I lied. I'm reading it tonight. You know, not only do I love her Sam and Josh, I love her CJ, Leo, Toby and Bartlett. And, her Lisa isn't half bad either.

Plus, there are some great bits of dialogue that make me laugh such as the six of them discussing the other candidates, and we get this bit between CJ and Josh.

"He's a popular clown," C.J. insisted, her nostrils flaring. "He's got Susan Sarandon and Winona Ryder supporting him, and now Eddie Vedder."
Josh shook his head. "Who?"
"The lead singer of Pearl Jam."
"Is that some kind of jewelry emergency?" Josh asked.
"You've never heard of Pearl Jam?" C.J.'s eyebrows flew up. "Who are you, my father?"
Josh snorted. "Hardly. Do I look like a giraffe to you?"

*snerk* You so know that Josh would say that (and he wouldn't listen to Pearl Jam).
