Urgh. Mornings...

Went over to Genie's yesterday to pick up my makeup. Ended up hanging around for hours watching vids (SV, BtVS, AtS and Farscape), and then watched some episodes of Farscape and Sports Night.

Took me a few episodes to get used to the different feel and pacing of Sports Night (And to stop think of Jeremy as Not!Will, because he's, y'know, Will, except he's not...) but I enjoyed it. Laughed outright, and had a lot of fun with the hgihly slashy "anniversary" conversation on the Thespis episode.

I'm also starting to wonder if Sorkin had a bad breakup with a girl named Lisa. That's two different shows and two different guys who seriously considered marriage with a girl named Lisa. It's also two different relationships that started to fall apart because the guy eschrewed the traditional fame and fortune approach, to persue a job that he loved with his best friend. The similarities are amusing me, but that could just be me.

Anyway, got home at a bit after midnight, and decided to type up what I've written on the Sam/Josh piece. I ended up staying up until 1.30am, but couldn't go online to post. (I'll do it when I get home.) Long story short, I had to show up for a 8.30am meeting after not getting to bed until 2am.

My general feeling? Urgh... mornings!

Lunch...

I have accomplished so little this morning. And all that I want to do is sit down and write WW fic.

*yawns*

I declared an early lunch and caught up on LJ for the last half hour, but I think I need to get lunch and go outside and wake up a little.

I want to look at Slod's pics but they're not work-safe. Bugger.

Also, I need to remember to read Te's fics when there aren't people walking around me. I also want to go through [Unknown site tag] and read all the SN fic, since I can now recognise the characters. *g*

Hmmm... Wendi mentioned she's going to move back home at the end of the year. Huh. Makes me glad that I:
a) live in Melbourne and really do love it, and
b) there aren't any major family things going on at the moment.

I mean, as much as I love my mom, dad and lil' brother, I'm really enjoying living alone at the moment. I like having my own space, I like being able to go out and not worry about when I have to be home. I like being able to put off washing the dishes for days. *bg* I like being able to be nocturnal on the weekends, and invite friends over if I want to. (Not that I've had anyone over yet...)

Yeah, this entry is pretty random.

WIP: WW Untitled Sam/Josh fic

I was going to write tonight, but I've been distracted by setting up a new Melbourne Slashers mailing list. So, I've decided I might as well post what I got up to last night. (It works well as a way of keeping track of just how long ago I wrote the last bit, and how much I should write the next. It's LJ as motivation! *g*)

It's a bit... abrupt as a section, but I'll smooth it over later when I edit it.

Melbourne Slashers Mailing list

Hee! I should be washing my hair, but I'm currently gloating. I created the Melbourne Slasher mailing list at yahoo less than an hour ago, and we've already got 5 members! I'm thrilled. *bg*

Yes, I am easily pleased.

Meanwhile, if there's anyone else out there who's a fellow Melbournian, and likes the idea of getting together with other slashers in a few weekends times (Saturday, 16th August), go here and join up.

ETA: The green shirt I bought in my last shopping spree? Love. It. Absolutely love it! I wore it to work today, and it's so comfortable and looks so good, that I still haven't taken it off. But, I need to go wash my hair now...
